It’s Turkey Time…Now Market Like Crazy!

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Well not quite yet…but it’s time to start preparing for Thanksgiving.

Marketing for Thanksgiving

Have you ever received a Christmas card from a company that you once purchased products from or even bought a car from? They tend to send them out every year with the same exact message inside of them. Honestly, what is the point of frustrating your past customers with the same mundane advertisements?

It’s time to think more about Thanksgiving rather than Christmas.

This year, send out a Thanksgiving Card to all of your past clients and be the first to grab their attention!

GET AHEAD OF THE GAME!

BE CREATIVE!

HAVE SOME FUN!

Be sure to write a personalized note to each and every client. If this is not possible, then at least write something with a little bit of excitement and kick. Do not add any sort of advertisements within this card. It should simply be a “Hey, we still think about you and want you to remember we are still around” type of note to your past clients.

The more you put your company name in front of your past clients the more they will refer others to you. But be careful not to overdo it as this might turn them away.

Thank you past clients

Things to Know When Marketing with YouTube

How to market with YouTube.com

1.      Be sure to create a fun and exciting video to capture your viewers’ attention.

2.      Whatever it is you are marketing, be sure to keep things very clear. Get your point across as easily as possible.

3.      YouTube is all about “reality” – don’t be afraid to add in any bloopers or fun outtakes.

4.      Get your viewers involved by increasing the need for participation.

5.      YouTube allows “tags” on each video. Take advantage of these tags and keep them in line with the purpose of your video. Matching the tags with your title/description is a good way to start.

6.      Build trust with your viewer by connecting on a personal level.

7.      Don’t forget to add in your company website and contact information to the bottom of the video and/or at the end of the video.

8.      Don’t be afraid to try new things!
